Strong Exhibition Game against the Rams
December 29 – Goderich
Sailors at Mount Forest Rams. Despite some close chances for the Sailors, the first period
against the Mount Forest Rams proved to be an even battle for supremacy between
the two teams. However, two
minutes into the second period, Justin got things rolling for Goderich with a
short-handed, breakaway goal.
Tyler followed-up several minutes later by threading through three Mount
Forest players to make it 2-0.
However, the Rams battled back and made it 2-1 less than a minute
later. Tyler then re-gained the
two goal lead for Goderich from a nice set-up from Tristan and Snowden.
Once again Mount Forest closed the gap to make it 3-2 – however, in proved to be the TSN turning point of the game, David landed a beautiful wrist goal (assisted by Justin) at the 34 second mark of the second period to make it 4-2. The third period belonged to the Sailors with a hat trick goal for Tyler and a second goal for David (both unassisted) to close the deal with a solid 6-2 victory.
