Exciting Win Against the Zurich Thunder!, News, Novice Sailors LL-Hunking, U8, 2010-2011 (Goderich Minor Hockey)

Feb. 26 (Zurich Thunder at Goderich Sailors) The first playoff game against the Zurich Thunder was an exciting battle from start to finish.  Paige started the scoring for the Sailors with beautiful goal at the 8:53 mark of the first period (assisted by Kylen).  The Thunder fought back to tie things up at the 7:13 mark and end the first period in a 1-1 tie.  Zurich pulled ahead 2-1 a minute into the second period, but this was soon answered with a goal by Lucas (assisted by Connor).  Going into the third period tied up again, Zurich regained the lead at 5:20 left in the period.  The Sailors fought back hard and Joseph tied things up with 2:22 left on the clock (assisted by Kylen).  

With overtime looking inevitable, Kylen got the winning goal of the game with only 33 seconds left (assisted by Jordyn) to end the game 4-3!  Bryson stopped many attempts by the Thunder throughout the game with some beautiful saves.  The Sailors were on fire throughout the game with some outstanding hockey by both the forwards and defensemen!  All the kids did a great job and never quit hustling.  Keep it up Sailors!
