Exciting Tie Game with the Ice Dogs - #1
Jan. 29, 2011 (Goderich Sailors at BCH Ice Dogs)
The Sailors faced off against the BCH Ice Dogs for an
exciting game of hockey in Clinton. The kids played a very strong first period with many close
chances, including several post shots.
Going into the second period tied 0-0, BCH got the first goal at the
8:07 mark. Lucas put the Sailors
on the scoreboard at the 3:31 mark with a goal (assisted by Connor and Kaleb). Lucas scored again at the 2:37 mark
(assisted by Kaleb) – however, this goal was quickly answered by the Ice Dogs
to end the second period 2-2.
In what was an extremely exciting third period with lots of chances for both teams, BCH pulled ahead with a third goal. Bryson made some awesome saves to hold the Ice Dogs at three goals. With a little over a minute left in the game, Coach Larry, Darren and Dan made a strategic move and pulled the goalie. This move paid off with a third goal by Jordyn (assisted by Lucus) with 52 second on the clock to end the game in a 3-3 tie!
