Clifford Tournament a Success!
The Novice LL #1 team traveled to their first tournament in Clifford on Jan. 15th and brought home the "B" Championship trophy! Although the day started slow, with a 7-2 loss to Woolwich, after a team breakfast and the Skills Competition, Goderich beat Mildmay 6-1. For the championship game, they were up against Elora, who was daunting in size but our kids started the scoring early and never let up. The winning score was 8-1. With a total of 16 goals in 3 games, many of the kids had multiple goals but congrats goes to Paige for her first 2 goals of the season!
The tournament also offered a Skills Competition for the 8 teams and we did great! Bryson was second in Goalie Agility and Kylen, Luc, Jordyn & Paige were second in the Relay Race. Our Shooting Drill team of Joseph, Remi, Sam & Ethan, our 4 strong defence men for the tourney, also managed to get a few goals past the large Elora goalie. Overall we placed 2nd out of 8 teams! Good job!
