The first game of regular season started scoreless in the first period with two goals waved off in favour of Goderich. Mitchell opened the scoring in the second period and went ahead with 3 goals before Braedon Duncan answered back unassisted making the score 3-1. Try as they might, Goderich wasn't able to find the back of the net again finishing the game with a 6-1 loss.
