"THE GOLDEN FEDORA"
A huge accomplishment tonight for Tanner Merkley and the team, as they have achieved the coveted....... "GOLDEN FEDORA!" (4 shutouts in a row!)
They boys traveled to Howick tonight and made it worth the drive as they fought hard to keep the streak going. In the first period, Braeden Duncan opened it up with help from Carston Gardiner.
In the second period, Duncan scored again unassisted. Also in the second, Duncan achieved a hat trick with help from Brady Gerber and Cody Souch. Later, but still in the second, Chris Govier scored with an assisted from Justin Leitch.
In the third, Justin Leitch scored with the assists going to Mason Clarke and Cody Souch. Dwyer Brown also scored in the third with help from Jared Cox and Justin Leitch.
The boys did a wonderful job fighting of a 5 on 3 situation, and ended the game with a
6-0 victory!!!
(Please note that the game sheet was extremely difficult to read tonight so I appoligies if I got the names for the goals and assists wrong. )
