Atom Sailors AE, 2009-2010 (Goderich Minor Hockey)

The have proven themselves once again. In W.O.A.A playoffs the Atom AE have taken the Saugenn Shores ATom AE out in two straight and moved off to Mitchell. Mitchell proved to be a little more determinded and pushed the boys to the max. It took 6 games(in a five game series) to finish it. Looking like it was heading for overtime again the boys slipped one by the Mitchell Goaltender with 37 seconds left on the clock. The Atom AE Sailors won the W.O.A.A. A huge accomplishment tonight for Tanner Merkley and the team, as they have achieved the coveted....... "GOLDEN FEDORA!" (4 shutouts in a row!) They boys traveled to Howick tonight and made it worth the drive as they fought hard to keep the streak going. In the first period, Braeden Duncan opened it up with help from Carston Gardiner. Goderich dominated BCH once again as they faced of in Goderich on Sunday night. Jackson Million started the scoring as he put one between the pipes with passes from Jared Cox and Dwyer Brown in the first period. Then, in the second Brown found the back of the net with help from Cox and Million. In the third, Justin Leitch slipped one past BCH's netminder with the assists going to Cody Souch and Jared Cox. The boys out front came together and were playing as a unit with two goals in mind. They wanted to help out their goalie and they wanted another win! They did both as they dominated the rink in Listowel today. In the first period, Braeden Duncan scored the first goal, with assists from Jared Cox and Carston Gardiner.
