A busy week-end!!!
   The Atom LL Sailors had a week-end full of hockey!       The Boys played an excellent first game in their tournament that was held on Saturday January 3rd in Clifford.  Keeping the first period with no goals and the second period Listowel led by only 1 goal. Noah Smith brought the game closer together with an assist from Owen Sykes in the third period.  The boys put up a great fight, but couldn't keep Listowel from scoring the goal that brought the game to a loss at 2-1.  They didn't let it keep them down!!!      The Second game played in the tournament was a VICTORY to say the least, played against an all girls team.  One certain Center Man was quoted saying at the face off  "Your Cute!" to his opposition.  Despite their good looks ours was a win of 19-1, leaving us to play for first place.      I hope every player was as happy as Tanner Merkley when he said "so you mean even if we lose we win second!!"      The boys names were drawn to compete in a skills competition.  With some players on the ice and some watching in anticipation, our relay team speed around the ice placing second overall.  Our goalies split up. Tanner Merkley showed them his speed and agility, while Trenton Foster left them breathless as the only goalie who kept a shut out.  Over all the Atom LL Sailors tied for SECOND place in the Skills competition.  The skills that took them to the final game to play against Creemore.      For most of the players on the team, playing at 5:00 meant that they had already been awake for 12 straight hours after an early game in the tournament.  But that didn't keep them from giving most of what they had to play and excellent game against Creemore.  Scoring the first goal of the game early in the first period was Noah Smith, but Creemore was quick to answer back.  Into the second p
