A huge congratulations goes out to the 10 crazy boys who traveled to Listowel for the game on Sunday. Although the weather was awful and some family were storm stayed until monday, they WON their first game of the season.
In the first period Liam Armstrong scored the first goal of the game setting a strong example for the other team as to how the game was going to be played. He was assisted by Braeden Duncan, who not only scored two goals in the second period but he also assisted Chris Govier in scoring his goal.
So in the end of the second period the Atom LL Sailors were ahead by 1 goal.
In the third period the boys pulled out all the big guns, Liam Armstrong scored his second and THIRD goal of the game, assisted once by Tanner Lewis and once by Tyler Phillips. Braeden Duncan scored his THIRD goal of the game and Owain Sykes scored the final goal of the game with only 12 seconds left on the clock.
In the end Tanner Merkley played an excellent net and allowed only 3 goals to pass leaving the final scored of the game at 8-3 for the SAILORS!!!!
