Bantam Rep win "C"Division
Congratulations to the Bantam Rep team for winning the "C" Division at the New Hamburg Hockey Association "BB" Tournament.
The Bantam Rep Sailors had a rough start during the round robin play losing their first game to Tavistock 4 - 0. The second game of the round robin play found them pitted against Wallaceburg. Although the boys lost this game 8 - 5 , they started to find the net. Scoring for the Sailors was Josh Whitely, Carson Lamb and Chace Duckworth with his first hat trick of the season. Early Sunday morning found the Sailors playing in the "C" Division Championship against the Woodstock Junior Navy Vets. Injuries and penalty trouble left the Sailors with a shortened bench. However, the Sailors played hard and defeated Woodstock 6 - 1. Scoring for the Sailors was Chace Duckworth, Josh Whitely (2), and Jeff Gordon also with his first hat trick of the year.
Congratulations to Josh Whitely for receiving the Player of Game Award, as chosen by Woodstock, for the final game.
