SWEDEN BOUND
The Goderich Legion Midget Reps have been invited to participate in a tournament in Sweden at the end of March 2008. What an opportunity!!!! What an experience!!!!
The tournament in Sweden will take place March 28 - 30, 2008. This is a fantastic opportunity for our boys and parents. We are doing a number of different fundraisers to help out with the cost of this trip. One of the fundraisers is a weekly hockey pool. This hockey pool does require a lot of time to keep organized and we would like to thank Dennis Schmidt for volunteering to do this for us. Pics are $2.00 and can be purchased from any team member. Pics are collected every Thursday night (usually at our home game at the MRC @ 9:00pm). Winnings are divided 50-50 and are distributed every week. If interested, please contact any player or parent on the team.
We are also hosting a Wine Tasting/Silent Auction which will take place on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 7:00pm at the Goderich Legion. Tickets are being printed right now but will be available from any team member.
We will also be hosting a youth dance in February 2008. Details to follow.
I hope you will keep these things in mind when you are approached by a Midget Rep player or parent and help out with this once in a lifetime opportunity for them.
