Great End to the Regular Season!
Feb. 5 (Blyth Bulldogs at Goderich Sailors)
The Sailors ended the regular season on a high with an
exciting 1-0 victory over the Blyth Bulldogs. Hungry for redemption after a disappointing loss to the
Bulldogs two nights earlier, all the guys played a strong game from start to
finish showing some great teamwork.
Kyle was a goaltending force stopping a number of attempts by the
Bulldogs - including making several amazing glove saves! The Sailors offense pounded away at the Bulldogs formidable
goalie with numerous chances throughout the game. Alex finally got one past the Bulldog goalie with a
beautiful wrist shot!
The Bulldogs fought back for a tie, but the Sailors defense held them off to secure the victory – despite having a man in the penalty box and Blyth pulling their goalie! This was a great game to end the regular season with and begin the playoffs on a high note. All the guys have had a great regular season thanks to our awesome coaches (and our volunteer parents). We know they will give it their all in the playoffs. Go Sailors Go!
