Exciting Re-match with the Kincardine Kinucks!
Jan. 23 (Goderich Sailors at Kincardine Kinucks #2)
The rematch with the Kincardine Kinucks #2 team was an
‘edge of your seat’ battle from start to finish. The combative Kinucks landed the first goal of the game half
way through the first period. The
Sailors fought back to tie things up before the end of the first period with a
‘top shelf’ breakaway goal by Justin.
The second period was a rough battle between both teams with many
chances for both the Sailors and the Kinucks. Tom made some awesome saves to keep things tied 1-1 going
into the third.
The hard work and hustling by all the boys finally paid off in the third period with a goal by Alex to put the Sailors ahead 2-1. Tom made an amazing ‘Roberto Luongo style’ glove save to keep the 1 goal lead. Nathan closed the deal with a shot from the point to give the Sailors the win. All the guys played a great offensive and defensive game - proving what they can do with teamwork and when everyone hustles. Keep it up Sailors!
