Great Showing at Normanby Wildcat Tournament!

The Sailors had a strong showing at the Normanby Wildcat
Tournament, returning home with some bling around their necks as the C-Final
Champions! The first game of the
tournament against the very formidable Rep Normanby Wildcats was a battle to
the finish, but still ended in a 5-0 loss for the Sailors. With the first game of the tournament
serving as a lesson to the boys on the importance of hustling and teamwork,
they played a strong second game against the Wingham Ironman and secured a 1-0
win. The third and final game of
the tournament pitted the Sailors against the Lucknow Boys. Once again, the Sailors played an
outstanding game against Lucknow to win 4-2 and capture third place in the
tournament.
Great teamwork, passing, offense, defense and goal-tending in the final two games was proof of what the boys can accomplish when they give their all for the entire game. The boys also had a lot of fun during the tournament - showing great team spirit before, during and after each game! Thanks to the coaches for all their guidance and support for the boys. Way to go Sailors!
