Dave Clarke Memorial Tournament
Sailors travelled to Dorchester last weekend to play in a tournament. Friday night they faced Shelbourne Wolves winning 7-0. Saturday they returned to face off against Simcoe Warriors losing this one 3-1 In a hard fought battle in the afternoon game they faced the home town Dragons and ended up with a 3-2 loss. The team had a great team building weekend of fun and hockey.

In the first game Friday night the Sailors got a early jump and never let up Josh Bakker opened the scoring with Keltie Talbot picking up a assist. Kyle Stanbury scored the second goal of the period with Carter Thomlinson and Kaden Hoggarth picking up assists. Giving us a 2-0 lead going into the second period. Carter Thomlinson scored our three goal assisted by Mark Morris and Josh Bakker. Mark Morris extended the lead to four by the ene of the second with a assist going to Callum Robinson.The Sailors added three more goals giving us a 7-0 win. Scoring for the Sailors was James Zolob, Kyle Stanbury and Kaden Hoggarth with Carter Thomlinson(2),Kyle Stanbury and Kaden Hoggarth all picking up assists on the goals.


Saturday the Sailors faced Simcoe at Noon and it was a battle with Simcoe coming out on top 3-1.Kyle Stanbury scored the only goal of the game for the Sailors.

Saturday at 3:00pm we face the home town Dragon's which turned out to be a great game back and forth action.The Dragons took a early 2-0 lead but the Sailors didn't give up battling back to make it a 3-2 final.Scoring for the Sailors was Kyle Stanbury with assists going to Keltie Talbot and Josh Bakker. Mark Morris scored our second goal assisted by James Zolob and Josh Bakker.

All in all it was a fun weekend as we Celebrated Tyson's birthday as a team with bowling and party back at hotel.
