The Sailors started 2010 off at home with a tilt against the Kincardine Kinucks.Sailors scored first with Carter Thomlinson scoring with the assist going to Mark Morris.Sailors extended their lead to two on Kyle Stanbury first assisted by Carter Thomlinson.Kincardine scored to cut the lead to 2-1 at the end of the second period.It was a hard fought third with the Sailors coming out on top with a 5-3 victory.Scoring for the Sailors was Mark Morris and Kyle Stanbury completing the Hat Trick with the lone assist going to Callum Robinson.
On Sunday the Sailors traveled to Mitchell for a 12:00 o'clock game against the Meteors.Mitchell opened the scoring early but Carter Thomlinson tie the game at 1's before the end of the period with assists going to Kaden Hoggarth and Mark Morris. Kyle Stanbury scored half way through the second giving us the lead but it was short lived with Mitchell scoring on the very next shift to tie it at 2's at the end of the second. Callum Robinson scored a unassisted goal early in the third to give the Sailors the lead for good. Kyle Stanbury added three more in the third with assists going to Josh Larkin and Tyson Kovats. It was a great game from our defence and Jacob Abbott making some key saves with Sailors coming out on top 6-3.Keep up the great work team.
