The Sailors travelled to Tiverton to start a two game weekend.
The Sailors jumped out to a 2 goal lead after the first period on goals scored by Ethan Hewitt and Carter Thomlinson with assists going to Keltie Talbot and Kyle Stanbury.Kincardine answered back early in the second with a goal of their own but the Sailors extended their lead to 4-1 after the second on two goals by Kyle Stanbury with Mark Morris and Tyson Kovats picking up assists.The Sailors poured it on in the third scoring 5 more times with goals from James Zolob,Carter Thomlinson and Kyle Stanbury had 3 in the period with assists going to Callum Robinson,Mark Morris,Carter Thomlinson,Kaden Hoggarth and Kyle Stanbury.Josh Bakker,Josh Larkin,Tyson Kovats,Kyle Dunn and Keltie Talbot stood strong on defence while Jacob Abbott had another great game between the pipes.
On Saturday morning the Sailors were back on the ice at home at the "Y" facing BCH. The Sailors opened the scoring on a goal by Ethan Hewitt with assist going to Kyle Stanbury.Kyle Satnbury increased the lead to two scoring on a pass from Tyson Kovats.It was a hard fought second period with BCH getting the only goal of the period making it 2-1.The Sailors came alive in the third scoring 8 times. Mark Morris start the scoring early in the third with assist going to James Zolob.David Fincher scored his first of two in the period on a three way passing play from Ethan Hewitt and Kyle Stanbury.Callum Robinson chipped in his first of two in the period on a pass from James Zolob.Kyle Stanbury scored a goal with assists going to Ethan Hewitt and David Fincher.David Fincher scored his second of the period on a pass from Kyle Stanbury.Mark Morris scored a unassisted goal followed by Callum Robinsons second of the period on a pass from Kyle Stanbury.Then Kyle finished the scoring on a pass from Tyson Kovats.Another great team effort.
