Peewee Girls play well at Brampton Canadette Tournament
The Peewee girls played to everyone's expectations this past weekend at the Brampton Canadette Tournament. Their first game was against Orangeville with Goderich finishing with a 4 to 1 win. Game 2 saw Goderich dominate North York with a 9 to 1 win. On Saturday, West Lorne was able to put one past the girls with Goderich losing 3 to 2.
Goderich was able to advance to the quarter finals Saturday night, easily beating Kitchener 7 to 1. This brought the girls to the semi-final match against Meaford. Goderich dominated the game but was unsuccessful in putting one past the Meaford goalie. The game ended with a 1 to 0 loss.
Great weekend girls! Congratulations to the Bantam & Midget girls who as well were able to advance to the semi-finals.
This weekend the girls are on their way to the Provincials in Brampton after earning their spot through three rounds of playdowns. Well deserved.....
