Atom Rep, 2007-2008 (Goderich Minor Hockey)

The Machinists Atom Rep team played their first round robin game Feb.16th against Walkerton and came away with a 5-3 win. Missing four players, the rest of the team rose to the challenge and showed their ability and determination. Each and everyone that played gave 110 percent for the win! The next home game for the Machinists is Friday February 22nd against Durham at 7:30 pm at the Goderich Memorial Arena. Come out and support the team!

The Machinist Atom Rep Team is starting to come together! Good team work and a desire to prove they are a competitive hockey team, by all players, has lead to great results! The team recently downed the Walkerton Atom Team in three straight and now lead a strong Kincardine Club two games to one. Two of these games went into overtime, the first being won by Kincardine 2-1 and then the second won by Goderich by the identical score 2-1. The other game was won in regulation time by a score of 4-3 by Goderich in a hard fought "come from behind" victory.The next game is in Kincardine on TUE. FEB. ...

The Atom Rep Team sponsored by the Local Machinists Union travelled to Kincardine in their opener in the second round of playoffs on Sunday January 27th after beating Walkerton three straight. The first game was a barn burner, with the score at 1-1 going into the first overtime period. Unfortunately the game favoured Kincardine in sudden death but the Goderich Team played extremely well in all departments. Come out and support the team this Thursday at 5:30 pm at the Maitland Rec Centre and Saturday at 3:00 at the Memorial Arena!

The Atom Rep Team faced Walkerton, a tough opponent, in their first round of playoffs. The first game saw Goderich winning 8 - 5 in their home rink. The second game was a very exciting game for the fans, with Goderich winning 1 - 0 in the first two minutes of overtime. The third game was a hard fought battle with the Local 1863 Machinists downing the Walkerton Club 3 - 0, taking the series three games to nothing. The Atom Rep Team now advance to the next round of playoffs against Kincardine. Watch for playoff dates on the Minor Hockey website!
