The Hockey Canada Registration (HCR) system is used by thousands of minor hockey associations across Canada. Please be sure to carefully read ALL the instructions on all pages - particularly the waivers section.

NOTE: 2013 Players *

If a 2013 player moves into the Tyke Age Group - Tyke fees will apply.  If an Initiation player (2013) is successful in making a Tyke level team, an additional registration fee will be; assessed, added to the appropriate player's invoice and emailed out to the parent/guardian.  Payment is due prior to hitting the ice.

NOTE: 2012 Players **

If a 2012 player moves into the Novice Age Group - Novice fees will apply.  If a Tyke player (2012) is successful in making a Novice Team (Rep or Local League), an additional registration fee will be; assessed, added to the appropriate player's invoice and emailed out to the parent/guardian.  Payment is due prior to hitting the ice. 

First Year Players = FREE Registration

First year players born in 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015 can Register and play for FREE. Early Registration is encouraged.  This offer is subject to availability, a limited number of spots available.

Are you registering for the first time with GMHI?  50% Discount 

Players entering their first year with Goderich Minor Hockey who do not qualify for free registration will receive a 50% discount, subject to availability. Contact [email protected] for more details or for assistance in Registering.

Registration Deadlines, Payment Plans, & Early Bird Discount

Payment plans are ONLY available online if registered by May 15, 2019 at midnight as the 1st payment is scheduled to take place on May 20, 2019

This year we will offer the Early Bird Discount $100.  The Goderich Minor Hockey Executive is asking everyone to Register as early as possible since it will help with planning for the 2019-2020 season.  In addition, registering on, or before, May 15th will ensure you receive an Early Bird Discount of $100.

All registrations received by May 15th will be subject to an EARLY BIRD Discount of $100 fee per registrant.

Mandatory Fundraising

In an effort to keep registration costs down, Goderich Minor Hockey is continuing the "Cash Calendars" fundraiser. The Cash Calendar fundraiser is mandatory for each paying registrant.  We offer a discount for GMHI families; 3rd child is exempt.  

Cash calendars will be distributed by your child's team Manager and only given to those who pay for them, all paying players will be required to pay for and contribute to fundraising. 

Payment Options

1.  credit card - pay all fees up-front

2.  credit card - "scheduled payments" where there is no deposit and the balance is automatically split into four equal payments and billed to your credit card on 20th of each month (May, June, July & August). The final payment on August 20th, 2019. Payment plans with credit cards are available until May 15, 2019.

3.  e-transfer - NOT AVAILABLE for the 2019-2020 Season
HCR online registration does NOT support e-transfer payment option at this time. 

Note:  Payment must be made with a credit card at the time in which you register online.  Your player will be ineligible to participate in tryouts, exhibition games and/or regular season if their account is not paid in full by August 20th.  This will be strictly enforced.

Financial Assistance is available.  It is YOUR responsibility to register your child, even if you require financial assistance.  Contact [email protected] Register with your credit card and notify [email protected] a refund (because RASP is coming) or an alternate payment plan (if prior to May 15th deadline) can be set up with you.  GMHI does not accept cheque, CASH or e-transfer monies, register online with your credit card.

Manual Registration is limited to those players who need a transfer to GMHI.  All Players need to register online.

Note:  Cheques and/or cash are NO longer acceptable methods of payment.

In-Person Registration Date

Respect In Sport for Parents

Beginning in 2014, at least one parent or guardian of every player must complete the online Respect In Sport (RIS) program prior to the player's participation.  If you have completed this course and need to add a new player to your account please follow the online instructions to "add a child".  Every child must have this qualification on their file before they can be put on a Roster.  For more information about the RIS program, please visit this page.

Birth Certificates

For any first-time registrant who has not participated in minor hockey before, it is required that a copy of the player's Birth Certificate be provided to Goderich Minor Hockey as soon as possible after registration. A copy of the Birth Certificate MUST be sent via email to [email protected]

Refund Policy

The Goderich Minor Hockey refund policy is provided in both the association's Constitution and the Policy Manual, both of which are found online. Full refunds are available until August 20, after which partial refunds are provided depending on how far into the season the refund is provided. Please refer to those documents for specific schedules of refund amounts per time of season.

Financial Assistance

Goderich Minor Hockey strongly recommends families who may need financial assistance to first utilize the Huron Recreation, Arts, & Sports Program (RASP). This program was created in 2015 to provide opportunities for children and youth across Huron County to participate in activities regardless of their financial circumstances.
