The Hockey Canada Registration (HCR) system is used by thousands of minor hockey associations across Canada. Please be sure to carefully read ALL the instructions on all pages - particularly the waivers section.

Registration, Payment Plans, & Early Bird Discount

Payment plans are ONLY available online if registered by May 15, 2020 at midnight, the 1st payment is scheduled to take place on May 20, 2020.

This year we will offer an Early Bird Discount of $100.  The Goderich Minor Hockey Executive is asking everyone to Register as early as possible since it will help with planning for the 2020-2021 season.  In addition, registering on, or before, May 15th will ensure you receive an Early Bird Discount of $100.

All registrations received by May 15th @ midnight will be subject to an EARLY BIRD Discount of $100 fee per registrant.

1st Year Free Registration

Free Registration is available to those players who have not played organized hockey in the past and are born in the 2014 or 2015 year.  Please click on the link below to create an account in HCR and choose Free Registration.  Send a birth certificate as proof of age to [email protected] and complete the Respect In Sport Course (details below and on our website).

Mandatory Fundraising

In an effort to keep registration costs down, Goderich Minor Hockey is continuing the "Cash Calendar" fundraiser. The Cash Calendar fundraiser is mandatory for each paying registrant.  We offer a discount for GMHI families; 3rd child is exempt.  

Cash calendars will be distributed by your child's team Manager and only given to those who pay for them, all paying players will be required to pay for and contribute to fundraising. 

Try Out Fee for 2020-2021 Season

Any player who would like to try out for a Rep or AE team must pay a try out fee at the time of Registration.  There will be a non refundable try out fee of $50 per player.  Please select this fee from the "Optional Fees" to add it to your cart when Registering online.  After May 15th, 2020 the non refundable try out fee will be $75 per player.

Payment Options

1.  credit card - pay all fees up-front

2.  credit card - "scheduled payments" where there is no deposit and the balance is automatically split into four equal payments and billed to your credit card on 20th of each month (May, June, July & August). The final payment on August 20th, 2020. Payment plans with credit cards are available until May 15, 2020.

3.  e-transfer - NOT AVAILABLE for the 2020-2021 Season
HCR online registration does NOT support e-transfer payment option at this time. 

Note:  Payment must be made with a credit card at the time in which you register online.  Your player will be ineligible to participate in tryouts, exhibition games and/or regular season if their account is not paid in full by August 20th.  This will be strictly enforced.

Financial Assistance is available.  It is YOUR responsibility to register your child, even if you require financial assistance.  Register with your credit card and choose the RASP option as a Fee.  Please email [email protected] and [email protected] to notify them that you will require RASP funding and that you have chosen the RASP fee on your order.

Manual Registration is not available. If you require a transfer to GMHI please contact [email protected] and request this, the Registration Chair will notify you once you're transfer has been approved and you're able to register online with GMHI. 
Note:  Cheques and/or cash are NOT acceptable methods of payment.

In-Person Registration Date

Respect In Sport for Parents

Beginning in 2014, at least one parent or guardian of every player must complete the online Respect In Sport (RIS) program prior to the player's participation.  If you have completed this course and need to add a new player to your account please follow the online instructions to "add a child".  Every child must have this qualification on their file before they can be put on a Roster.  For more information about the RIS program, please visit this page.

Click the button below to start the online registration process using the HCR system.  All members of Goderich Minor Hockey who participated last year will be logging into their existing account in the HCR system.  If this is your first season playing with Goderich Minor Hockey you will be creating a NEW account.  After clicking the link below, you will log in using the information you created last year.  If you have forgotten your password there are links to assist you.  Be sure to read and follow all on-screen instructions carefully.

Birth Certificates

For any first-time registrant who has not participated in minor hockey before, it is required that a copy of the player's Birth Certificate be provided to Goderich Minor Hockey as soon as possible after registration. A copy of the Birth Certificate MUST be sent via email to [email protected]

Refund Policy

Full refunds are available until August 20, 2020 after which partial refunds are provided on a prorated basis depending on how far into the season the refund is provided. Please email [email protected] if you have questions.

Financial Assistance

Goderich Minor Hockey strongly recommends families who may need financial assistance to first utilize the Huron Recreation, Arts, & Sports Program (RASP). This program was created in 2015 to provide opportunities for children and youth across Huron County to participate in activities regardless of their financial circumstances.
