Sailors Face Cyclones
On March 1, 2014, the Goderich Sailors Faced-off against the Listowel Cyclones.  Previously the Sailors tied and lost to the Cyclones so the Sailors went into this battle with both oars in the water and the bow facing head long into the eye of the storm.

Eli opened the scoring late in the first period when Joey passed the puck to Eli who slammed it behind the Cyclone's goalie.  After the first the Sailors were up 1-0.

The second period was similar to the first.  Both teams controlled the play for long periods of time but it wasn't until Joey, once again, found Eli wide open and Eli potted his second goal of the game.  Sailors led the Cyclone's by two after two.

The third period was also a close battle and Listowel finally got on the board with 14:28 left in the game.  Evan answered the call when Wade kept the puck in on the offensive blue line and found Evan on the side boards.  Evan took to strides towards the net and fired the puck passed the waiting Cyclone's goalie.  Sailors were up 3-1 with only 5:28 left in the game.

Listowel was not done yet.  They kept coming time and time again and finely found away to get the puck by Ben.  With only 3:08 left in the game, the Sailors felt the pressure coming with the score 3-2.  The rest of the game was tight end to end action until Evan stood up and carried the puck down the left wing and fired the puck into the Cyclone's empty net.  The final nail in the coffin had been delivered and the Sailors won 4-2 extending their playoff winning streak to three in a row.
