Third Playoff Win!
February 18 – Goderich
Sailors at Ripley Wolves. The Ripley Wolves definitely made the Sailors work for their
third playoff win with aggressive body checking and play throughout the
game. Alex started the scoring
with a nice ‘coast to coast’ rush to pot a nice backhand goal. Tyler followed that up to make it 2-0
on a rebound goal off a shot from the point by Braeden. The Wolves had a few close chances on a
power play in the first period, but were shutdown by Tom in net and by the
penalty killing of the defensive lines.
The second period continued with strong pressure by both teams and some
superb saves by Tom.
Justin put the Sailors ahead 3-0 near the end of the second period by stealing the puck away from a Ripley player and landing a nice ‘bar down’ goal. Ripley got on the scoreboard 6 minutes into the third period to make it 3-1. However, Logan soon answered that goal with a nice one of his own off a beautiful set-up from Tristan. Let’s keep it going boys!
