Teamwork Pays off Again!
February 16– Goderich
Sailors at Lucknow Sepoys. The combination of hard work, moving the puck and strong
teamwork continued to prove itself as the secret weapon for the Sailors in
their second playoff game. Lucknow
came out strong in the first period, but were shutdown by Mike in net and the
strong defensive play of Rory, Braeden, Josh and Nathan. With 5:30 on the board, Logan got the
Sailors on the board with a beautiful shot off an assist from Snowden to end
the period 1-0. From there, the
game belonged to the Sailors with superb pressure and passing throughout the
entire game.
At the 11:21 mark, Justin made a beautiful pass from behind the net out front to Alex who potted a nice goal to put the score at 2-0. Tyler landed the next second period goal with an amazing top corner shot from the far corner of the Lucknow end zone (assisted by Lucas and Braeden). Going into the third period with a 3-0 lead, Tristan sealed the deal with 2 more goals off assists by Justin, Snowden and Alex. All the boys played a great game and kept the pressure on Lucknow for the entire game. Keep playing like this for the rest of the playoffs boys!
