Atom AE Finish up Exhibition play with a loss and Tie First Regular Season Game
On Oct.11th the Atom AE Sailors faced off against the Brussels Bulls in their final preseason game.  The Bulls came out fast catching the Sailors off guard by scoring three times in the first five minutes of the period.  But the Sailors would hang on to answer back four times in the second to take lead of the game. Just four minutes into the third the Bulls would score tying up the game at four.  It wasn’t until late in the third before the Bulls would get another taking back the lead.  The Sailors tried their hardest as a team to tie it up with many scoring opportunities but the Bulls finished them off with an empty net goal in the final minute of the game.   Scoring for the Sailors was Andy Clark (3) and Harley Oster with a single with assists going to Ritchie, Clark, Oster and Clarke. Great team work and a never give up attitude boys.

Saturday Oct.18th the Atom AE Sailors kicked off their regular season against the Mitchell Meteors.  The Meteors came out hard trying to make up for their two previous losses with the Sailors struggling to find their legs. The Meteors would score midway through the period and again late in the period keeping the Sailors off the board.  But again the Sailors would find their legs and rally as a Team coming up with the only goal of the second.  With the Sailors still pressing hard the team would soon come up with the tying goal and then go on to score another taking the lead for the first time of the game.  Mitchell however would turn it up a notch coming back to tie up the game with just 3:40 remaining.  Both Teams would fight hard for the remaining time with several scoring chances at both ends of the rink but the game would end in a tie.

Scoring for the Sailors were Kody Ritchie, Jared Cox and Andy Clark with assists going to Brenner, Pritchard and Gardiner.  Great Team Effort Boys!
