Midget Rep go up 2 games to 1 against the Mitchell Meteors
The Midget Rep team won their first playoff game in overtime against the Meteors in Mitchell a week ago Sunday night.  It would be Mitchell who started the scoring off but it wasn't long after that Goderich player Tyler Durst tied it up with an awesome end to end shorthanded goal.  With 40 seconds left in the first period Tyler Million would get his own shorthanded goal with the help of Brandon Gibson giving Goderich the go ahead goal.

Going into the second period William Kelly was able to capitalized on the power play assisted by Josh Martel and the period ended with Goderich up by two.  Mitchell were determined not to lose at home and came back in the third period with two quick goals tying the game 3-3 putting the game into overtime.  Within the first minute of overtime Goderich was able to put it away when Martel scored a rebound shot assisted by Shawn McColl and Andrew Hogan-CannLucas Denomme did a superb job in net for Goderich.  The Midgets won at home on Thursday night with a score of 4-0 against Mitchell.  Goalie, Shawn Gethke earned the shutout. Goal scorers were Cory Troudeau, Brandon Gibson, Shawn McColl and Tyler Million. Goderich was hoping to put the series away on Saturday night when they travelled back to Mitchell.  First period remained scoreless.  Second period saw the Meteros go up two goals.  Goderich did manage to put a goal in but unfortunately it was waived off by the referee.  Shawn McCall was able to get the Goderich fans going in the third period when he scored making it 2-1.  Mitchell scored an empty netter ending the game 3-1. Goderich will have another chance Monday night to end the series.
