Goderich sweep Straford Aces Tounament
This weekend the Goderich Midget girls swept the Stratford Aces Tournament with four straight wins to emerge as Midget C Champions . Game one was a match up with Huntsville where the girls handily defeated the northern squad 5-2.
The second game was against a very talented home town team of Stratford where Goderich took the match 2-1 in a real nail bitter with some incredible goal tending by Jennesa Dalton. The last game of the round robin saw Goderich in a slow start against Cambridge. After being down 1-0 in the first period the girls exploded sending Cambridge home with a 7-1 spanking and advancing the girls to the finals. The Championship game was a rematch with Statford and with discipline and superior goal tending Goderich takes the game and top honors in the Straford Tournament for the second year in a row.
