Weekend Events
This weekend saw the boys play a game against the strong Seaforth team, as well as heading to Durham for a one day Tournament.
During the game in Seaforth, the boys came out strong again. Kyle Smith was the first to score with the assist going to defenceman, Quinn Ross. All of the boys played a strong physical game and skated hard, but Seaforth took advantage of the bounces, and were able to find the back of the net more often.
The first game of the tournament found Goderich facing off against an evenly matched team from Beverly. After the first 3 periods, Goaltender Noah Smith was able to defend all attempts at the net with help from our shorthanded defencemen, as well as our fast skating offensive lineup. The boys continued their physical game again, and wouldn't let the opposition walk all over them. Unfortunatley, the Beverly team was able to sneek one past the pipes, and were able to score in overtime.
In the B semi-final, the boys faced a tough New Hamburg team, and although they lost 0-3, it was a great game to watch from the stands. These boys never gave up and skated hard through the whole game.
